BRIDGWATER & Taunton College A Level students studying history, languages, law, politics and government had the opportunity to travel to Brussels for a three day visit, by invitation of Clare Moody, MEP for the South West and Gilbraltar.
On arrival in central Brussels the students were amazed at how large the area around Parliament is and how much construction is going on around it.
To enter Parliament they went through airport-style security and were introduced to Parliament by an EU official who then handed the group over to Mrs Moody who gave a fascinating insight into the work she has been doing in Brussels and her career in politics.
The trip culminated in sightseeing tours of Brussels and Bruges.
The students made the visit just in time with Britain set to leave the European Union on Friday, March 29.
