FIREFIGHTERS have been tackling a big fire on an industrial estate in Wellington.
Seven engines were called to R W Gale Contractors on the Tonedale Industrial Estate at around 8.15am this morning (February 20).
Smoke could be seen coming from the site before the firefighters tackled the blaze.
Photos show the damage caused by the fire at the warehouse.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Flames were seen issuing from the area.
"There were reports there may be gas cylinders inside and there was also a HGV inside the building.
"The fire was in the garage area of the industrial unit.
"We used breathing apparatus and jets to extinguish the fire and by 9.30am we were making good progress.
"There was 30 gallons of industrial oil involved, containing argon and LPG."
The spokesman said the amount of damage is not yet conclusive and the building has been left to ventilate on its own.
