TICKETS to see Arsenal footballing legends rub shoulders with celebrity all-stars have sold out in just 60 hours.

The Arsenal FC Charity XI will be facing off against a charity from Chard, Single Yellow Rose.

The clash will take place on August 11 at the home of Chard Town FC.

Currently, comedian Russell Howard, actor Ralph Little, and former Arsenal forward Omer Riza have been confirmed to be taking part.

Negotiations are also underway to try and bring 90s goal-machine Ian Wright to South Somerset, along with a few other star names.

Now, the organisers have also revealed more potential names taking to the field.

It could be a ‘Gold’ event as Tony Hadley has been announced as a potential member of the Arsenal side.

Ex-Arsenal winger Perry Groves could be lining up next to Ground Force’s Tommy Walsh.

Casualty actor Patrick Robinson has also been mooted for the match, and is the cousin of Ian Wright.

Single Yellow Rose was a charity set up by Lee and Daisy Hutchings after their daughter Belle was stillborn.

This is just the latest in a long list of fundraisers carried out by the group.

Interest in the event pique after it featured in the last edition of the News.

Tickets sold out fast, with the event taking just 60 hours to hit its 1,000 capacity.

Daisy Hutchings said: “Since the tickets went live on Friday, we have been inundated with people’s excitement about our event.

“We sold more than 600 tickets in 24 hours. Tickets were selling like hot cakes. We never realised how big this could get. It is phenomenal.

"We are very humbled by people’s support and reaction to this event.”

Adults tickets were £5, and will include a free souvenir programme on the day.

Daisy added: “The football club are really going to benefit from this event. Hopefully it will put Chard on the map.”

The home side representing Single Yellow Rose will be captained by Lee Hutchings, and feature some of the charity’s local supporters.

A meet and greet event is also being planned so Chard residents chat one on one with A-list celebrities and Arsenal legends.

Details will be announced at a later date.
