POLICE are continuing to investigate a container fire in Bridgwater as it's cause is not clear.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 12.04am on Friday (December 11) to Westonzoyland Road in Bridgwater following reports of a fire in some outbuildings.
Two fire engines and a water carrier from Bridgwater and a fire engine from Taunton were sent to the scene.
When firefighters arrived at the scene the officer in charge confirmed there was smoke and flames coming from a container.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Once fire crews extinguished the fire and the area was made safe the incident was handed over to the police.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
