THE man who died in a fatal crash in Burnham-on-Sea has been named.
Stephen Paul Spaven, 55, of Burnham-on-Sea died on Friday (December 14) after a Royal Mail lorry crashed into Mr Spaven and his wife, Susan, while they were walking their dog, Toby, at the junction of Love Lane and St Peter's Road in Burnham.
Mrs Spaven sustained injuries in the incident and is now recovering at home but sadly their dog, Toby, also died.
Mr Spaven was a much-loved husband and father to Richard, 16, and Katelyn, 12.

In a statement issue by Avon and Somerset Police Mrs Spaven said: āI would like to thank all the emergency services for their help and support, from the doctor who held my hand in the ambulance to the police family liaison officer.
"Iām also extremely grateful to the community of Burnham for their continued support.ā
The police investigation into the collision continues.
