A CHARITY has been given a festive boost to funds after hosting a Christmas bazaar.
On Saturday (December 8), staff from Somewhere House hosted the fundraiser at St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-on-Sea and raised £534.
Representatives from a number of local organisations set up stalls at the event including Burnham RNLI and Somerset Time For Youth.
A spokesman for Somewhere House said the event was a big success.
“We raised £534 and it was a great way to end 2018’s fundraising events," he said. “The funds will go directly towards helping people in the local community through our affordable counselling service.
“This can be a particularly difficult time of year for many people and we feel it is important to offer something fun for the local residents of Burnham-on-Sea and come together with a community spirit.
“It was a fun morning and everyone who came appeared to enjoy themselves.
“We are looking forward to 2019 when we will be fundraising again.”
