TWENTY five Christmas trees were decorated for a festival at Chard Museum.

Different charities and groups put together displays to fill visitors will festive cheer from December 7-9.

Doreen Toms said: “The tree voted for by the public as their favourite was the one entered by Chard Ladies Evening Guild Handicraft Group and consisted of white and silver hand knitted decorations, they were collecting for the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital and the £20 prize will be added to the collection.

“This was the first time the Museum had run this event and we hope to continue so please everyone keep the first weekend in December 2019 free, our thanks go to all the people who entered a tree and to all those who came along to support the community event."
