IN last week’s County Gazette I read that plans are afoot to create a three-lane Toneway. Reason being apparently for even more development at Monkton Heathfield!
Surely we have had enough upheaval this side of town? We’ve had diversions, traffic lights, delays, not to mention awful jams, enough is enough.

Anyone living our side of town has had years of roadworks, building works etc etc, surely it’s time to give us a break from this development craze and give us back our sanity? Planners have already made my village a dangerous rat-run and refuse to do any safety measures.
We’ve already had car crashes (plural) by the bridges, what is it going to take to open their eyes? Maybe we need a change of council!
