AN ILMINSTER man has taken over a business in the town at the age of just 24.

Mitchell Wingham was born and raised in the Ilminster area.

As a teenager in the town he played first-team football for Ilminster and took up the role as head boy at Wadham Academy.

He has also previously starred in the News after speaking publicly at church services, found success in awards evenings, and even met the Queen.

Now, as a 24-year-old Mitchell has set up his own company, MawFIT, and is taking over the Ilminster Fitness Centre.

He said: “I have recently purchased Ilminster Fitness centre from the current owner.

“The gym was founded and started by the current owner 12 years ago. Have grown and thrived in the community I saw an opportunity for it to be taken to a new level in the industry.

“I would love to reach out to the community so as to celebrate my purchase of Ilminster Fitness Centre, and to spread to good news of new ownership, direction and appreciation for its current and future members.”

MawFIT offers personal training, group training, sells clothing, and runs online training with 24-hour support.
