AFTER a bright start, Somerset could be set to get wet later today as rain is forecast for the county.

In their South West summary, Met Office said: "There will be some sunshine in the east this morning, however the skies will be cloudier in the west, with light and patchy rain.

"This cloud and rain will move eastwards, with some heavier outbreaks likely."

The maximum temperature is set to reach 19C, before falling to a minimum of 8C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: "It will be a grey, damp start in the west, with sunnier skies in the east. However it will become sunnier, drier and warmer in the west during the afternoon."

The temperature is due to peak at 19C.
