POLICE have discovered a body during a search for a missing man from Crewkerne.
Dorset police officers found the body, which they believe to be Kevin Norminton in the West Bay area.
The discovery was made at around 6pm yesterday, Thursday May 10 2018, by specialist search teams below cliffs near to Thorncombe Beacon.
Kevin, aged 43, was last seen on the morning of Tuesday May 8 2018 when he left his home address.
Chief Inspector Rob Chalkley, of Dorset Police, said: “Although the body has yet to be formally identified, we believe it to be that of Kevin.
“His family have been updated of the discovery and are being supported by officers at this extremely difficult time.
“We do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”
