FIFTEEN cars were involved in a fire at a scrap yard in Chard.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue were called to the blaze, that is believed to be accidental, at 5.50pm last night (January 11).
Smoke was seen bellowing from the scrapyard on Beeching Close.
Engines from Chard, Ilminster and Axminster attended to tackle the fire.
A spokesman said: "Crews tackled the blaze using compressed air foam, hose reel jets and breathing apparatus in use.
"The fire was extinguished, and the cause was deemed to be accidental ignition.
"Crews had assistance from an onsite mechanical digger."
