CHRISTMAS came early for South Petherton when the town hosted its annual festive extravanganza.
Hundreds of people lined the town’s streets for the Christmas lights switch-on event on Sunday, November 26.
Market Square was at the centre of the celebrations, decked out in all its festive splendour. The event is a huge draw for families in the area who enjoyed a range of activities in the town from 2pm ahead of the lights switch-on at 6pm.
Young children impressed with their crafty creations in the town’s lantern parade and Morris Dancers also featured in the entertainment. Plenty of refreshments were served on the day.
