SOMERSET is set for cold but clear weather, ahead of sub-zero temperatures tonight.
In the south west summary, Met Office said: "The south-west will have a mainly dry and sunny day but it will feel cold in a brisk north-westerly wind.
"Showers in Devon and Cornwall could be heavy near the north coast. The windchill will make it feel even colder."
The maximum temperature is set to reacha round 8C, before falling to -1C overnight.
Tomorrow's forecast said: "Wednesday will be similar to today, with a frosty start followed by dry, sunny and cold weather. Showers will probably be confined to west Cornwall."
The temperature is set to peak at 7C.
