The show was directed by Year 4 teacher Mrs Melville and was accompanied on piano by Mrs Pearce.

Cara Gilmour-White, headteacher at St Andrew’s School, said: “The performance was by Year 3 and 4 children, seven to nine year olds.

“This week the stars of the show have to be Year 3 and 4 and their stunning performance of ‘This Man Called Jesus’.

“The children captivated their audiences from start to finish and should be incredibly proud of themselves.

“Huge thanks also to Mrs Melville who directed and Mrs Pearce who accompanied the children on the piano.

“There were around 75 to 80 people there for the second performance. there was also a matinee with about 50 parents.

“It was a huge success.

“I have to give a special thank you to Ella and Amelia from Year 5 who did the lights and the projections for the whole show.”

Children broke up for Easter last Friday, and return on Wednesday, April 19.

This month will also see the Friends of School group hold a local drinks tasting and curry night on Saturday, April 29.
