FIRE crews raced to an incident in Ilminster this afternoon after reports of smoke inside a property.
One fire engine from Chard was sent to the scene in Townsend, Ilminster, at shortly before 1.30pm after reports of the smell of smoke coming from a home.
Upon arrival crews confirmed a pan had been left on the hob which had boiled dry removed it to the open air. They also ventilated the property naturally.
The property suffered some smoke damage as a result of the incident.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
