A GROUP of ladies recently celebrated the autumn season at a flower arranging workshop held at Combe St Nicholas Village Hall.
Making a seasonal treat in a terracotta pot, their arrangements featured rich autumn colours and seasonal items including leaves, berries, fruit, seed heads and more.
Louise Boffey, from Chaffcombe, said: “I just loved it all. I learnt how to use different types of leaves and how to use fruit in an arrangement. I was very pleased with my arrangement and will definitely recommend these workshops to my friends. 10 out of 10.”
Lydia Riches, from Cuttifords Door, Chard, said: “I heard about these workshops from my mum, who also came along. This is the first flower arranging workshop I’ve been to, I really enjoyed meeting everyone and trying something new, it was very relaxing.”
Tutor Jackie Nicholls from Ashville Design, who runs the workshops, said: “There’s always a fabulous atmosphere at these events, they’re really friendly. Everyone was very relaxed, passionate about flowers and full of enthusiasm. We had a great time. I can’t wait for the festive fun at our Christmas workshops.”
