CHILDREN at Neroche School returned from the Easter break to a welcome surprise – £30,000 of new IT equipment.
The primary school, which is in Broadway near Ilminster, invested in 30 new laptops and 10 iPads over the Easter holiday.
The school also replaced its servers and wireless network in order to speed up and further improve their IT systems.
Neroche head teacher Connel Boyle said: “Due to the increased popularity of our school and our planned growth in pupil numbers, this has allowed the school’s budget to increase healthily.
"It is because of this planned growth and the popularity of our school that is allowing us the freedom to make these key large investments in our school.
"Our school IT facilities are amongst the best available and the enthusiasm of the children and staff in using IT as a key learning tool is fantastic to witness.”
