SEAVINGTON's own Santa Claus arrived in style as the village's shop put on a special event in the build up to Christmas Day.
The community shop and cafe, which was opened up in 2010, saw Father Christmas arrive on a sleigh pulled by two huskies.
Mark Ellis, Chairman of the Seavington Store said: "We always have a great time when Santa visits us.
"There is tremendous community spirit in this village and we really value this annual celebration."
The guest of honour then performed the important duty of judging the children's colouring competition for which there was a record number of entries.
The large assembled crowd then performed a selection of their favourite carols.
The children then sat down with Santa Claus to tell them what they wanted for Christmas.
The Seavington tradition was upheld of having a Christmas raffle with the winner receiving a turkey.
Mulled wine and mince pies were also provided.
