WE would both like to thank everyone who voted for us in the recent elections - we were both very pleased to be elected to Chard Town Council.
It was the first time either of us has ever got involved in council elections and we both found it an interesting and enjoyable experience.
We are impressed with how hard every one has worked during the campaign and how many background tasks there are which need lots of unsung heroes to perform.
We were also impressed with how professional every one was in the counting process.
We are excited about getting our teeth into some new projects and will be looking to some of the more experienced councillors for guidance in the early days.
