IVOR and Holly played the music for another large crowd at the most recent Chard Folk Dance Club gathering, and Pip Oxenbury, doing a great impression of Eileen Nightingale, did the calling.
Elaine Drewer won the big draw prize, a ticket for Somerset Cricket Club opening match in the coming season, and other main winners were Jean Huddy and Andy Mann'.
Frank Clarke did an excellent job as deputy biscuit waiter, and Alf Drewer's rendering of a Somerset folk song was a classic.
This Thursday (February 22), The Amycrofters Band will make their first visit of the year with Chris Edmunds calling.
