IN PICTURES: Children go all out for World Book Day
PARENTS of schoolchildren outdid themselves yet again with a series of impressive fancy dress outfits last week.
In the name of World Book Day, scores of pupils arrived at school dressed as their favourite book character or ready to create some art on a reading theme.
Gruffalos, Little Red Riding Hoods and Mr Men brightened up the school day as part of the global event aimed at getting children enthusiastic about books and reading. Other schools and pre-schools introduced their own twist with everything from bedtime reading to creating edible books.
