SIXTEEN Holyrood Academy students have embarked on a Gold Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition.
The Dartmoor weather proved the biggest challenge, with students waking up to heavy rain and storms but they soldiered on and completed a tenmile trek with smiles on their faces despite blisters on their feet.
Head of sixth-form Karen Seib was delighted with the progress the students have made and expects them to impress further on their final expedition in July 2015
