A FAMILY pirate event is being held near Ilminster on Saturday to mark international ‘talk like a pirate day’.
St Margaret’s Hospice is running the event at Stocklinch Ales, Manor Farm, Stocklinch, from 11am.
There will be walking the plank, wine or winge, treasure island, a lucky treasure chest and other stalls, including jewellery and chutneys, plus a fun walking treasure hunt around the village.
Food and drink will have a suitably buccaneering spirit, and there is also a fancy dress prize for the best shipmate.
From 7pm, singer Arthur Shaw will perform, and there will be piratethemed real ales and ciders on sale.
Entry is free, but donations are welcome for the hospice – for details call Claire Hart on 01460-259776.
