A HEALTHY dose of urban folk is being served up in South Petherton this Sunday.
Band founder Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Frank Moon and Tom Chapman are the distinguished instrumentalists of The Urban Folk Quartet, a fusion of voices and nerve-tingling acoustic music currently rocking the international folk scene.
They’re making their return to ‘The Hall’ a good two and a half years after their last South Petherton show.
The quad’s fresh combination of Celtic dance forms, traditional song, and fiddle-led melody has made them a stand-out group, enmeshing funk, Middle Eastern and Afro beats with North Indian rhythm.
Tickets are £15 for the gig which starts at 8pm.
