THREE cars have been damaged by fire this morning (Thursday, July 11) at Tatworth.
The Fire Service received a number of calls at just after 10.30am to reports of a car on fire at an address in Stockham Lane.
One fire engine from Chard was sent out and officers found the vehicle well alight, but close to a garage and other cars, so they requested the support of another crew.
A Fire Service spokesman said: βIn total three cars were damaged by fire, the original car was destroyed by fire with two further cars suffering 25 per cent damage from heat and smoke.β
A garage contained three acetylene and propane cylinders which were removed from the building and away from the fire.
