Public Path Diversion Order 2021
On 2 July 2021 Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of Footpath 69, Beaminster at Windy Ridge as shown on the order map as follows: From the existing path:
The full width of the path from its junction with Footpath 92, north east of 14 Windy Ridge at ST 47830164, generally south east across a green space area, towards woodland, to the unaffected part of Footpath 69 at ST 47920162. To the new path:
From the unaffected part of Footpath 69, at its junction with Footpath 70, at ST 47820165, generally south east along a crushed stone and grass surfaced path, towards woodland at ST 47900162 and then east to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 69 at ST 47920162. On 2 July 2021 Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made
under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed.
The effect of the order as confirmed is will extinguish Footpaths 92
and 96, Beaminster at Windy Ridge as follows:
Footpath 92. Beaminster
The full width of the path from its junction with the current route of Footpath 69, north east of 14 Windy Ridge at ST 47830164, west north west through the garage and front garden of the property to ST 47820164, where it intersects with Footpath 96, Beaminster and Windy Ridge, then continuing west north west through the garden and property of 20 Windy Ridge and the garden of 18 Windy Ridge to ST 47770165. The full width of the path from its junction with Footpath 92, to the south east of 16 Windy Ridge at ST 47820164, north north west through the garage and garden of the property to its junction with Footpath 70 at ST 47810168.

Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2021
On 23 July 2021 the Dorset Council confirmed (without modification] the above named order as unopposed.
The effect of the order as confirmed will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by: Deleting from them Parts of Footpath 21:
1. From its junction with Colway Lane, south south west of the property Garden House at SY 33969300, north passing through the garden of Garden House to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 21 at SY 33969307. No recorded width.

2. From the unaffected part of Footpath 21 on the north east boundary of 36 Talbot Road at SY 33949312, north east through 4 properties on Talbot Road to SY 33989315, then north passing through the garden of 31 Talbot Road and across the road to the south east boundary of 16 Talbot Road at SY 33989317. No recorded width.

3. From the unaffected part of Footpath 21 north of 16 Talbot Road at SY 33979321, north north east, passing through the garden of 50 Woodberry Down Way to SY 33989331 and continuing north through a field to SY 33979339. No recorded width.

Adding to them Parts of Footpath 21:
1. From its junction with Colway Lane, south of the property Penard at SY 33959300, north along a tarmac and crushed stone track to the southern boundary of 3 Colway Close at SY 33959306, continuing north east to its junction with the unaffected part of Footpath 21 at SY 33969307. The width varies: 2.5 metres between SY 33959300 and SY 33959306, narrowing to 2 metres at SY 33969307.

2. From the unaffected part of Footpath 21, on the north eastern boundary of 36 Talbot Road at SY 33949312, north west along Colway Close and across the road to the south eastern boundary of 12 Talbot Road at SY 33929314. Continuing north east along the tarmac pavement to its junction with the unaffected part of Footpath 21 at SY 33989317. Width 2 metres.

3. From the unaffected part of Footpath 21, north of 16 Talbot Road at SY 33979321, north along the western edge of a field to a field boundary at SY 33979330 and continuing north along the field edge to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 21 at SY 33979339. The width varies: between SY 33979321 and SY 33979330 2 metres then widens to an open field at SY 33979330.

If any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, you may within six weeks from 12 August 2021, make an application to the High Court. Temporary Closure of George Street, West Bay
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along GEORGE STREET, WEST BAY from its junction with North Side Basin as indicated by signs on site. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13 August 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 February 2022. Please note there will be a series of dates when the crane lifts are required and these will be diplayed with advanced warning signs. This Order will enable NMCN, safe access to allow for the positioning of a crane to remove the flood gates across the sluice bridge. The crane will be set up at 0500hrs with lifting from 0600hrs, works complete by 110Ohrs.
