The County Of Dorset (Various Roads, Litton Cheney) (30 Mph Speed Limit) (No.2) Order 2021
Dorset Council has made an Order under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
When the Order comes into operation on 30 July 2021 the effect of the Order will be introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads.
- Main Street
- Hine's Mead Lane
- Cow Lane
- School Lane
When the Order comes into operation on 30 July 2021 the effect of the Order will be introduce a 30mph speed limit on sections of the following roads:
- Litton Lane
- Cox's Lane
- Chalk Pit Lane
- 'Unnamed Road' towards Long Bredy

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.

Temporary Closure of B3143 Buckland Newton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14  of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3143 BUCKLAND NEWTON between its junction with Factory Lane and The Old Chapel Stores, a distance of approximately 850 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2 August 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 August 2021. This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out relining of public sewers to prolong life as part of the sewer rehabilitation project. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; B3146-A352-A37-B3147-B3150-B3143
Please note there will also be a HGV diversion route in place.
