Application reference #1244 dated 14/08/2020 has been received by the above Committee for approval of the following works to an exempt ecclesiastical building. 1. St Michael and St George (Church) - Lyme Regis. Grade II* (Listing Number: 1230401) 2. Works Proposed: Repairs and conservation works to the external render and stonework including pinnacles and window surrounds; Repairs alterations and redecoration of rainwater goods. Window and door repairs and redecoration works. Patch repairs to roof coverings. Repairs to internal walls and ceilings. Testing and possible removal of asbestos from the Bell Tower sounding chamber and making good. Investigation and remedial works for damp penetration in the chancel (and presbytery). Internal works including strengthening of floors in the Bell Tower and new handrail to belfry stairs. 3.
