Somerset County Council Milverton Road, Wiveliscombe District of Somerset West and Taunton Deane Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restriction as detailed in the Schedule to the Order.

This Order will come into operation on 14* of May 2020 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles in the road specified in the schedule to this Order. The restriction will apply when indicated by traffic signs. The works are expected to start on the 19* of May 2020 for a period of 4 days (24hrs). A copy of the draft Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at

Patrick Flaherty, Chief Executive Dated: 30th April 2020 Schedule Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles Milverton Road, Wiveliscombe - From the junction with Langford Budville Road north­eastwards to the junction with Quaking House Lane, for a distance of approximately 1050 metres.The proposed date of the closure is 19th of May 2020 for 4 days. Statement of reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or



b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
