NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION
SECTION 53(2) AND SCHEDULE 15 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Somerset County Council (No. 6) Modification Order, 2019 Parish of Combe St Nicholas
On 17 January 2020 Somerset County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 53(2)b of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Adding to them a Bridleway starting from Priddles Lane at OS grid reference ST 30276 13014 (point A on the Order Plan) and running in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 76 metres to point C and
Adding to them a Restricted Byway starting from OS grid reference ST 3034513053 (point C on the Order Plan) and running in a generally northerly direction for approximately 225 metres to point D and then in a generally north north easterly direction for approximately 160 metres to a ford at point E and then in the same general direction for approximately 320 metres to the A303 at point B. A copy of the Order and Order Plan has been placed and may be seen free of charge at:
1. Somerset County Council, Second Floor, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, (please report to reception and ask to speak to someone from the Rights of Way Definitive Map Team), from 9.30am until 4pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order may be bought there at the price of £10.
2. South Somerset District Council, The Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2HT from 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
The Order came into force on 17 January 2020, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act, within 6 weeks from 29 January 2020, make an application to the High Court.
