SECTION 53(2) AND SCHEDULE 15 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Somerset County Council (No. 7) Modification Order, 2019 Parishes of Combe St Nicholas and Broadway
The above Order, made on 6 December 2019 under Section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Adding to them a Restricted Byway starting from Footpath CH 7/39 at OS grid reference ST 29150 13998 (point B on the Order Plan) and running along Hamway Lane in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 125 metres to point X and then in a generally east south easterly direction for approximately 145 metres to point C and
Adding to them a Restricted Byway starting from the northern end of the adopted highway at OS grid reference ST 29424 13767 (point D on the Order Plan) and running in a generally northerly direction for approximately 240 metres to a gate at point C and then in a generally north north westerly direction for approximately 210 metres to point E and then in a generally north north easterly direction for approximately 102 metres to point F and then in a generally easterly direction along Charmoor Drove for approximately 500 metres to point I and then in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 50 metres to point J and then in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 140 metres to point K and then in a generally southerly direction for approximately 180 metres to the watercourse at point L and then in the same general direction for approximately 240 metres to point M and then in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 225 metres to point N on the A303 (Ham Hill) and
Adding to them a Restricted Byway starting from OS Grid Reference ST 29311 14284 (point F on the order plan) and running in a generally north north westerly direction for approximately 295 metres to the parish boundary/River Ding at point G and
Adding to them a Restricted Byway starting from Silver Street at Grid Reference ST 29303 14700 (point H on the order plan) and running along Charmoor Lane in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 164 metres to a ford at the parish boundary/River Ding at point G.
A copy of the Order and Order Plan has been placed and may be seen free of charge at:
1.Somerset County Council, Second Floor, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, (please report to reception and ask to speak to someone from the Rights of Way Definitive Map Team), from 9.30am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order may be bought there at the price of £10.00. Please note that County Hall will be closed from 25 December until 1 January and therefore you will not be able to view the order and plan between these dates. 2. South Somerset District Council, The Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2HT from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Rights of Way Definitive Map Team, Economic and Community Infrastructure, Somerset County Council, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY, to be received not later than 5 February 2020. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Somerset County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it. At this stage they will be made available for public inspection. Prior to submission to the Secretary of State representations and objections will only be disclosed anonymously (i.e. with personal data redacted).
