NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION SECTION 53(2) AND SCHEDULE 15 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Somerset County Council (No. 1) Modification Order, 2019 Parishes of Puckington and Stocklinch On 14 June 2019 Somerset County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 53(2)b of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by: Upgrading to a restricted byway the public right of way in the Parish of Puckington starting from the north western end of Footpath CH 24/14 at the Stocklinch Parish boundary (point B on the order plan) and running in a generally west north westerly direction along Gummer's Lane for approximately 600 metres to the B 3168 at Puckington (point A) and;
Upgrading to a restricted byway the public right of way in the Parish of Stocklinch starting from the south eastern end of Footpath L 24/5 at the Puckington Parish boundary (point B on the order plan) and running in a generally south easterly direction along Gummer's Lane for approximately 155 metres to the County Road at Winsmoor Hill (point C)
A copy of the Order Plan has been placed and may be seen free of charge at:
1. Somerset County Council, Second Floor, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, (please report to reception and ask to speak to someone from the Rights of Way Definitive Map Team), from 9.30am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order may be bought there at the price of £10.00.

2. South Somerset District Council, The Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2HT from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.

The Order came into force on 14 June 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act, within 6 weeks from 26 June 2019, make an application to the High Court.
