PACKER Geoffrey 'Geoff' Passed away peacefully at home on 9th November 2020, aged 90 Years. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan. Much loved dad of Kevin, Vanessa and Cheryl, father in law of Marion, Malcolm and Alan, grandad of James, David and Josie and great grandad to Molly. Private Funeral Service to take place. Hello - by chance I came across an old photo of the Chard 3-Day bike race of 1969 (?). I was rider No.59, now aged 73. On the back of the print was a stamp telling me the name of the photographer - Geoff Packer. When I searched the internet I discovered the sad news of his passing.
I don't remember meeting Geoff at the time, in the mayhem of the race, but I wish you all well in his memory through this photo. If you can imagine the click of the shutter, it was Geoff's young finger on the button. Best wishes, Robert
