AS one of the 2,000 motorists sent a letter from the Police after being zapped by a radar speed gun recently, I would just like to say that wouldn't call myself a speeder' as the term used in the News on August 15.
I always check my speed when entering a speed limit zone, but it is so easy to creep four or five miles an hour above the limit as you can't keep your eyes on the speedometer the whole time.
I have seen motorists entering Combe St Nicholas from the Stoopers Hill direction at speeds of 45 to 50 miles an hour, completely ignoring the signs. They are the ones who should come into this category.
ALAN GOLDIE, Combe St Nicholas.
