IT was pleasing to see such a good turn-out at the first meeting of 2015 and to welcome new members – but disappointing to learn that the advertised speaker was unwell.
Thanks to committee members, the WI was greeted by a first-class substitute, Tim Hayman, who entertained members with a slide-show and talk on his life and travels in Spain.
It ranged from Mr Hayman’s garden produce to the grand tourist destinations of Cordoba and Granada, and members heard about the generous hospitality of the local people.
