Chard Helmstedt Society report
THE society held a successful lunch at the Eagle Tavern – 30 members attended and enjoyed a first class meal. A raffle was held and contributed a welcome addition to the society’s funds.
The next event is a skittles evening at the Happy Return, East Street, Chard, on Friday, February 27, starting at 7pm. The cost, including a buffet, is £7.
Then on Saturday, March 21, members hold a quiz night at Chaffcombe village hall starting at 7pm – cost £5, including a ploughman’s supper.
