TWO of the British folk scene’s most accomplished performers are set to delight in South Petherton next week.
The David Hall is welcoming husband and wife duo Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman on Saturday, February 7.
The pair, winners of the BBC Folk Awards Best Duo in 2013, have graced stages the world over in several guises.
Hall music manager Pete Wheeler, said: “They are without doubt one of the best duos on the circuit.
“They are bound to charm and impress in equal measure and I’m really chuffed to have them back.”
Twin daughters and a folk-rock whirlwind forced Kathryn and Sean to sideline their popular duo performances in the mid-noughties.
But after almost a decade, 2012 saw a spectacular return with their critically acclaimed album Hidden People.
Roberts and Lakeman have consolidated themselves as pillars of modern British folk making music with the likes of Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon, Levellers, Kate Rusby and Show of Hands.
