A RANGE of exhibitions and demonstrations are coming to Chard as part of this year’s Somerset Arts Week with a few familiar faces from the area.
Various artwork will be on show at Venues 83 and 84, Lopen, and other Somerset locations from September 21 to October 5.
Alongside the exhibitions will be demonstrations of wood turning by Rod Page at weekends, basket making with Jo Mills and printmaking.
Angela Naunton Davies will show some exciting new prints of grasses in her delightful Mangle House working studio setting, Venue 83, joined this year by emerging artist and printmaker Joanna Briar.
Jackie Cundall, the well-known wood engraver, will also have some of her fine work available.
For those interested in ceramics there will be a retrospective display and information about the work of nationally renowned Lopen resident potter Harry Horlock-Stringer, who died earlier this year.
At Venue 84, Pauline Rook will display her familiar rural documentary photos, as seen on BBC1’s Countryfile, alongside new work on flowers and images from her recent travels around the British Isles – Scilly to Shetland.
Other artists include James Cowden, who will have his books for sale at special prices.
For more information on the exhibitions and demonstrations call Pauline on 01460-240644.
