IRISH soprano Anna Devin is performing at the Meeting House Arts Centre, Ilminster, on May 23.
Anna is a multiple prizewinner at the Irish Feiseanna and last year won the Thelma King Award in Bath, the audience prize at the Handel Singing Competition and third prize at the Great Elm Awards in Wigmore Hall.
Following her success in the Handel Singing Competition she was chosen for the London Handel Festival's St Mathew Passion at St Georges Hannover Square on Good Friday, which she fitted in with performances of Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate and Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Rosinni's Petie Messe Sollonelle.
Her performance at the Meeting House, part of the Concerts In The West series, will include works by Mozart, Richard Strauss, Schubert, Liszt and Faure, and will also feature classical pianist Aoife O'Sullivan.
Aoife was born in Dublin and studied under some of the top names at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, at the Centro Studi Italiani, in Germany and later as a Fulbright Scholar at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she spent two years on the staff.
