Charlton Athletic 3, Yeovil Town 0: Defeat no disgrace for Glovers
YEOVIL Town slipped two places to 14th in the npower League One table last night after they fell to a 3-0 defeat at leaders Charlton Athletic.
The Glovers found themselves a goal down early doors at The Valley when Charlton newboy danny N'Guessan broke the deadlock on his debut.
Bradley Wright-Phillips extended Charlton's lead on the hour mark when he headed home from close range and then they wrapped up the scoring in added time when Darel Russell scored.
But Yeovil had their chances.
Former Chard Town keeper Ben Hamer, 24, now in between the posts for Charlton, did well to stop an effort from Yeovil substitute Bondz N'Gala.
And fellow sub, Lawson D'Ath, hit the woodwork.
It was Yeovil's first defeat in six outings and coming at the league leaders was no disgrace for the Glovers.
