YEOVIL Town visit the Priestfield Stadium tonight for the Glovers’ Coca-Cola League One fixture with Gillingham.
The Glovers go into the match having suffered only one defeat in their last nine League One outings with the most recent being the hard-earned 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic at Huish Park on Saturday.
Those nine games have seen the Glovers on their travels pick-up a three-point haul in a 2-1 success at Bristol Rovers on October 24 and draws at Milwall on September 29 and Oldham Athletic on October 3. The only blip was the 4-0 defeat at League One leaders Leeds United on October 31.
But a Yeovil spokesman, speaking to the Glovers’ official website, said: “The hosts are particularly impressive at home winning five games out of eight and losing just once at home this season.
“Averaging two goals a game, the Gills are free-scoring too and would be higher in the division were it not for some poor away form.”
Gillingham, managed by Mark Stimson, were promoted from League Two last season.
Yeovil have got a decent record at the Priestfield, however, with one win and two draws in their three previous visits to Kent – and have yet to concede a goal.
But considering that Gillingham are in-form at home, it looks as if Terry Skiverton’s Glovers will have an intriguing test ahead of them against Mark Stimson’s side.
