THE Perry Street League was guaranteed a team in the Dorset Junior Cup final when Waytown Hounds and Drimpton were drawn out of the hat.

It was Drimpton who came out on top and will now play Portland United Youth in the final.

Goals from Craig Lodge, Wes Gullin and Terry Farrell put Drimpton through after James Loveridge gave the Hounds the lead after 12 minutes.

In the Tommy Tabberer Cup, a Craig Gosney hat-trick put Merriott through 5-1 against Combe B.

Gosney, Jack Steer and Ash Cooper were on target for the winners with Graham Cleal replying for Combe.

South Petherton Reserves were 4-1 winners at Thorncombe in the Daisy Hutchings Cup.

Dan Kadir, Jimmy Rees, Jack White and Ryan Thurgood scored for the winners, with Alex Atkins scoring for Thorncombe.

In the Bill Bailey Cup, Chard Rangers Reserves were beaten 5-1 by Perry Street Reserves with goals from Charile Grierson (2), Isaac Patch, Dale Hutter and Owen Richardson.

Craig Whittingham replied for the losers.

Dowlish & Donyatt also went through 3-0 at Farway United Reserves with Dan Vining hitting a double and Matt Baker the other.

Crewkerne Rangers Reserves beat Drimpton Reserves 2-1 in the Reg Eglon Cup after Liam Adams gave Drimpton a first-half lead.

But Ian Banbury and Tommy Martin hit back to see their side into Easter Monday’s final at Misterton against Combe B.

In the Premier Division, second-placed Barrington kept up their pursuit of leaders Shepton Beauchamp with a 6-1 defeat of Crewkerne Town.

Guy Dare and Jan Kasper scored a brace each, while Mike Towill and Andy Whitefield added the others.

Town replied through Nathan Jennings.

Shepton stayed on top with a 2-0 win at Chard Utd - George Pugson and Dan Smith netting for them.

Beaminster also kept in touch, beating Forton 7-0 with Dan Baggs netting a hat-trick, Alfie Ward a brace and Owen Ward and Dean Hyett adding the others.

Perry Street hit nine at home to West & Middle Chinnock as Dan Collins (3), Josh Chadwick (2), Sam Bond (2), Billy Sheahan and Steve Every found the net.

The Chinnocks replied through goals from Liam Bennett and George Trott.

South Petherton are not out of the title chase, especially following their 8-0 thrashing of Lyme Bantams.

Shane Adcock-Case led the way with a hat-trick, Jamie Underwood and Mark Nelms added two apiece and Hayden Smith and Fran Blake were also on target.

In Division 1, struggling Ilminster Town Colts improved their chances of avoiding relegation with a tense 1-0 victory at fellow strugglers Pymore.

The all-important goal came from Jordan Turner - only his second of the season.

A Dan Pyett goal was enough for Beaminster Res to beat second-placed Barrington Reserves - their first defeat since September.

Combe A beat lowly Crewkerne Rangers 3-0 with goals from Owen Ladd, Wayne Long and Stuart Packer.

Misterton remained in third place following their 1-0 victory at Uplyme.

The winning goal was scored by Jake Barry.
