BOWLS: Chard short mat bowlers beat Hemyock
CHARD entertained Hemyock for a short mat friendly on Monday, winning all four games with a final score of 57-25.
The Lawn bowlers did not have such a good experience when they welcomed Avon and Somerset Police on Thursday and the match brought Roy Vaux’s winning run as captain to an end. Chard lost 76-54.
The scores were tight on three rinks but on the fourth the police were just too strong. Rink scores: 14-16, 17-18, 6-27, 17-15.
