CHARD took a strong squad to Burnham to face tough opponents.
Chard started well and had lots of possession and territory, but were unable to convert points. Burnham took the lead with an interception and converted try.
Chard rallied and produced some great play which resulted in a try by Owen Richards which was converted by Sam Mouland just before half-time to draw level.
Both sides were evenly matched and there was some great rugby produced.
But Chard scored a second try by Richards to take the lead and this advantage was held until ten minutes from the end when Burnham scored a converted try to take a two-point advantage.
But Chard bounced back with the last play of the game when Richards grabbed his hat-trick of tries which was then converted by Mouland.
A great all-round team performance by Burnham with Todd Farr named man-of-the-match.
