CHARD will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce when they host Oxford Harlequins at home on Saturday (2pm).

Chard played really well in their last game before Christmas and if they can use the strength of their forwards effectively there is no reason why they cannot get a result.

When Chard played at Oxford earlier in the season they lost 22-0 but fielded quite a scratch side and came very close to scoring several tries.

Given their position at the bottom of National 3 (SW), it is imperative they target certain games and all home matches come into this category.

Oxford will have to depart very early to get to Chard in time for the early kick off so it will be important for Chard to start the game at full steam.

Chard playing the likes of Oxford would have been a pipe-dream a few years ago.

But the home side will go in to this fixture expecting to do really well and will be hoping for a large, vocal home crowd to act as a 16th man.

Chard 2nds are away at Cheddar in Somerset 1 while the 3rds do not have a game.
