IT was a busy weekend for Chard & District Swimming Club’s youngsters.
On Saturday, Brianna Barrand, Kaitlyn Flannigan, Abi Greenslade, Alara Jenkins, Mia Porter and Catherine Webb swam the 200m freestyle, while Harrison Larcombe was fifth in the 100m backstroke.
Kaitlyn Flannigan was eighth in the 100m fly, and William and Henry Birchill swam the 50m breaststroke.
In the relay (11-12), Kaitlyn Flannigan, Esme Huntley, Catherine Webb and Alice Clark achieved third place.
In the 13-14 age group, Brianna Barrand, Mia Huntley, Abi Greenslade and Millie Downes swam hard to end up in fourth.
TALENT: Esme Huntley, Mia Huntley, Delilah Hutter, Harrison Larcombe, Grace Lambert, Ollie Bright, Catherine Webb and Alara Jenkin.
On Sunday, Esme Huntley, Mia Huntley, Delilah Hutter, Grace Lambert and Catherine Webb competed in the 50m backstroke.
Ollie Bright and Harrison Larcombe swam in the 100m freestyle, with Larcombe earning third.
Esme Huntley, Mia Huntley, Delilah Hutter, Alara Jenkin and Catherine Webb swam the 200m backstroke, with Hutter finishing in fifth for her age group.
During the afternoon, Downes, Jenkin and Webb swam in the girls 400m freestyle, and Jenkin achieved a fantastic second place for her age group.
In the girls relays, Webb, Flannigan, Clark and Huntley were eighth while Downes, Barrand, Lambert and Greenslade achieved a fantastic fifth.
