CHARD Road Runners were out in numbers this weekend.

First out were four marathon runners and one half marathon runner, who headed for the Dartmoor Vale race.

In the marathon were Bernie Genge, Paul Masters, James Musselwhite and Andrew Leeson, with Genge first over the finish line in 3h 31m 52s to finish 24th out of 114.

Next was Masters in 4h 09m 18s (60th), with Musselwhite completing his first marathon in a time of 4h 29m 11s (77th) and Leeson crossing in 4h 29m 14s (78th).

Heading off as the sole runner for CRR’s in the Dartmoor Vale Half Marathon was Nina Wagstaff who, with a final push, crossed the line in 1h 35m 13s to finish 25th out of 209.

Next up was the Herepath Half in the Blackdown Hills.

Running for CRR were Matt Saunders, Adrian Male and Claire Gibbs, and Saunders led them home in 1h 55m 34s (30th).

Male was next in 2h 08m 58s (70th) and Gibbs crossed in 3h 23m 45s (162nd).
