ANGLING: Cox tops the weights
ILMINSTER AA members switched their latest match to the canal with the river in flood. The fishing was quite difficult but everyone caught something.
Ilminster’s Rob Cox topped the weights with 3lb 2oz of roach and perch from peg one. Just behind was Justin Charles, also of Ilminster, with 3lb 1oz of skimmers, roach and perch from the next peg.
After three matches and dropping the worst result, Cox and Bruce Hunt lead with two points followed by Charles and Martin Heard on four.
This Sunday there is a V.E.S. Precision match. The draw is at the Royal Oak between 8.30am and 9am.
