REIGNING champion Wayne Loveridge of Chard Road Runners continued his defence of the Somerset Series when finishing sixth out of 662 runners in the Glastonbury 10k.
Loveridge really took to the challenging course, running a personal best time of 36m 26s.
Addie Douglass smashed 16 minutes off her previous best time while Andy Mear knocked more than 23 minutes off his in the North Dorset Village Marathon at Sturminster Newton.
Results – 34th Jeremy Taylor 3hr 16m 8s, 75th Paul Masters 3hr 33m 20s, 145th Addie Douglass 3hr 57m 18s, 146th Bernard Genge 3hr 57m 19s 172nd Andy Mear 4hr 4m 16s, 208th Maria Wadey 4hr 19m 44s.
